Working Undercover

Tony had gotten to the point where he hated being in this club without Gibbs at his side... or at his back as the case might be considering what was going on. The small bit of pressure in his ear reminded him that Jethro was just outside, listening in to what was going on as well as quietly speaking to Tony now and again. Tony also had a small mic just beneath the inside of his jeans that would transmit everything back to Jethro, too.

This was the fourth night he'd been in here, six nights since the last sub had gone missing after leaving the club alone. Tony was getting restless.

"Jethro... how much longer do I need to stay in here? It's almost two in the morning and still nothing. And if blondie over there doesn't stop looking at me like I'm some kind of snack he wants to eat, I'm gonna smack him..."

McGee pulled several sheets of papers from the nearby printer. "Addresses along with phone records for the last several weeks. Everything is in town and, as of six this morning, all places except one had been checked out and found empty." He handed Jethro one last piece of paper. "Got the car already gassed up and ready to go, boss. Ducky's on standby..."

He takes the piece of paper ignoring the statement about Ducky. Right now he didn't want the ME anywhere near the scene. Though that was probably his fear talking. So getting them down to the car he speeds them out of there, heading straight to the address.

The suspects in question knew they were on borrowed time as they began packing things up and trying t get out of the house before the feds and all arrived to find them. The house itself was a wreck and in the basement below, Tony and thee of the subs still alive, all hung from modified s-hooks, their bodies bruised and bloodied, Tony's more so than the others. The remaining three subs were dead, their bodies covered in a corner. Tony was unconscious or he'd have been happy to hear the sirens getting closer.

Upstairs there were gunshots, the sounds of boots and shouting and then and almost eery silence...

Once the car stopped Jethro headed straight in gun out and at the ready, just in case. He made sure that place was covered inch by inch before he headed down toward the basement.

He didn't want to call out his boy's name. Didn't want to risk anything more that could happen to him.

Tim followed him down, staying steady at Jethro's back as reached for the light switch then stopped.

"Do I hit the lights, boss? If they've been in the dark for awhile it could be painful..."

"Leave the lights out, McGee. Use your flashlight," he says turning on his own as he descends down the stairs. "We don't know how long they've been in the dark."

Tim took out his flashlight and turned it on, continuing to follow behind Gibbs. There was the sound of chains rattling as one of the subs began to struggle and make noise behind the gag in his mouth. Tim turned his flashlight and stopped short.

"Uh, boss... oh gods..." He looked a little bit closer as he moved the light and found Tony nearby, hanging and unconscious.

Once down into the basement and the sight... oh god the sight, "Get the others down then contact their masters. I've got DiNozzo." Even as he says it he moves over to his boy starting to bring him down from the S-hook.

Tim helps get down the other subs then runs back upstairs and gets the accompanying feds to start making calls while he calls Ducky himself knowing Gibbs would only allow the older man to take care of Tony.

In the basement, the movement startled Tony and he cried out in pain at being moved, the gag still cutting into the corners of his mouth.

Reaching down he removes the gag keeping Tony held to him, "Shh... you're safe now, my boy. Nothing to worry about anymore."

Tony is shaking in Jethro's arms and when the gag is finally pulled from his mouth he buries his face into the older man's shoulder, to weak to do anything else...

Eventually Ducky arrives and heads down, lights are turned on as other EMT's surround the other subs and the other Dom's arrive as well, each finding their subs. Three of the Doms that arrive though, aren't as lucky and there is yelling to be heard upstairs. Ducky gently gets Jethro to settle Tony on the gurney.

"As one Dom to another, go speak to those men upstairs, Jethro. They are the Dom's of the three subs who did not survive this ordeal. I will not move Tony from here until you return. I just want to give him some fluids and check him out."

To be honest Jethro doesn't want to talk to anyone. That doesn't stop him from helping get his boy on the gurney and then heading upstairs to talk to the other Doms. He knows they won't be okay but he can offer his condolences and let them know that if they ever need anything, he's there to help.

When Jethro returned downstairs, Ducky had Tony covered up in a warming blanket with an i.v. going in the boy's left hand. Tony was in shock and Ducky dreaded telling Jethro everything he'd found just so far...
