The twins were two months old by the time Tony was ready to return to work and, luckily, there was a day care center inside the federal building that Tony would be able to leave the twins in while he was upstairs at work with his lover. Jethro was already at work by the time Tony arrived with the children and so he brought them to the bullpin so everyone could see them before he took them to the day care center. Everyone oohed and ahhed over them and soon enough, Tony headed back downstairs with them. As he got them settled, his mind drifted to his current thoughts of late... he wanted to get married... more to the point, he wanted Jethro to ask Tony to marry him. He just had a feeling it wasn't something that was going to happen. Jethro had already been married four times and Tony figured it just wasn't something his lover wanted to do again. Which made Tony sad since he'd never been married and he really wanted to be... to Jethro that is. Still... he wouldn't dwell on it for now as he made his way back upstairs and over to his desk, sitting down and turning on his computer to pull up his email...
Working Undercover
Tony had gotten to the point where he hated being in this club without Gibbs at his side... or at his back as the case might be considering what was going on. The small bit of pressure in his ear reminded him that Jethro was just outside, listening in to what was going on as well as quietly speaking to Tony now and again. Tony also had a small mic just beneath the inside of his jeans that would transmit everything back to Jethro, too.
This was the fourth night he'd been in here, six nights since the last sub had gone missing after leaving the club alone. Tony was getting restless.
"Jethro... how much longer do I need to stay in here? It's almost two in the morning and still nothing. And if blondie over there doesn't stop looking at me like I'm some kind of snack he wants to eat, I'm gonna smack him..."

Special Delivery
Tony was typing up his letter for maternity leave, sitting at his desk. He was due within the next two to three weeks and Ducky had decided it would be best for him to go ahead to start his leave now in case anything came up. So, while Jethro and the team were out investigating leads on a new case, Tony was caught at his desk. He had just finished the letter and was printing it out when a jolting pain tore through his abdomen and back. It took him a few moments to catch his breath before he picked up the phone and dialed down to the morgue.
"Jimmy... get Ducky... I think this baby is gonna be early..."
Two minutes later, Ducky was entering the bullpen when another pain tore through Tony, leaving him gasping for air. Ducky walked over with Jimmy and the two of them slowly helped him to his feet.
"I've already called Jethro, Anthony, and he will be meeting us at the hospital. Dr. Pitt will be there as well to keep an eye on your pulmonary function as we get ready to deliver this little one of yours..."
Half an hour later they were at the hospital, Tony in a private room hooked up to a couple of machines and iv's, waiting for Jethro to get there.

Tony DiNozzo prided himself on being calm and self assured about things that happened in his life. Take this relationship with Gibbs that had been going on now for three months. Three months of living by a set of rules Tony had never thought he could handle with a man he'd never thought would ever want him and in three months time, Tony was collared and living with Gibbs, sleeping in his bed and happier than he'd ever been in his entire life.
Until the phone calls had started coming in on his cell phone. Phone calls from an old Baltimore buddy. Calls that Tony was hiding from Gibbs. Calls that turned into voicemails demanding Tony meet with the man in question if he wanted to keep from being outed to his current bosses. So far, the only ones who knew about Tony's relationship with Gibbs were Ducky and Palmer. Tony knew that eventually he and Gibbs were planning to tell the Director because, well, it would need to be done in case something happened to one or the other of them that required medical directives and such. Still... Tony wasn't sure he wanted some psycho ex-buddy outing him to everyone else. So he kept the appointments, telling Gibbs that he was following up leads to cold cases or that he was visiting frat buddies. He hated lying to the older man but he didn't think he had much of a choice. Gibbs would kill the man if he knew what was happening and Tony figured he was safer with Gibbs not knowing so that if anything got worse, the older man could at least protect him and ot be stuck in jail for murdering the man who was stalking his boy.
Of course, all his good intentions went straight out the window when the calls started coming while he was at work. He ignored seven calls in one hour and when the eighth call came in, he wasn't fast enough to grab his phone before Gibbs grabbed it from him...

Changes coming
Tony woke up feeling nauseated and only just made it into the bathroom to throw up into the toilet. He'd been this way for two weeks now, ever since Jethro had been sent off on an undercover mission and Tony hadn't been able to go with him. He knew he should probably call Ducky but he also figured it was just nerves... his own fears that something would happen to his lover and master. But now... this had been going on for too long. As soon as he cleaned himself up, he walked back into the bedroom and picked up the phone. It rang a couple of times before finally being answered.
"Uhm... Ducky? I... I think I need you to come by the house..."

In the beginning
Kate's funeral had been over a month ago now and Ducky continued to watch Anthony spiral further and further out of control. The last straw for the older doctor had been when he'd followed the younger man after he'd left NCIS headquarters and headed to a nearby club... one that Ducky knew about well enough but had never thought someone like young Anthony would ever be seen inside. Being as discreet as possible, Ducky followed Anthony inside but stayed near the back of the main room as Anthony headed for the bar. Ducky watched him down a few drinks and figured that would be the extent of it until an older man walked over to Anthony and sat next to him. For a moment, Ducky almost swore it was Jethro, but after another look he realized the man wasn't quite as tall as Jethro and didn't have the same look in his eyes as Jethro got whenever he was watching Anthony and thought no one was paying attention. Another drink and Tony stood from the bar and followed the other man through the crowd towards a stage.
"Oh dear... this can not lead to anything good," Ducky thought quietly as he moved around closer to the stage even as he sent a text message to Jethro's phone.
[Jethro. Trouble with Anthony. Sin 13 club five miles from office. Your immediate presence is needed.]
